Check out their web site www.mpmotorcycles.co.uk They sell race, track and road bikes, and are known for being very helpful and friendly, with their bikes being very competitively priced. They will deliver anywhere in the country at competitive rates. HISTORY MP Racing was set up in 2003 by Carrodo Pensavalle to run his son, Michael, in New Era Club races, where he finished 4th in the Pro Bike and Sound of Thunder Club Championships. In 2004 MP Racing had an excellent year with Michael. Riding a 996 Ducati, and later a 1000cc GSX-R Suzuki (ex-Gary Allinson bike) he had many race wins in the New Era Championships. He ended the year as New Era Sound of Thunder Club Champion and finished 2nd in the Pro Bike Club Championship. He also finished 4th in both the New Era Pro Bike and Sound of Thunder Superclub Championship which were run at separate meetings. MP Racing also entered Michael in 4 rounds of the Superbike Cup Championship in 2004, where he finished in 16th place, with the distinction of finishing 15th overall, in front of Ryuichi Kiyonari, in the 2nd wet Superbike race at Cadwell Park. 2005 saw the Team decide to run in the British Superbike Cup Championship. With the help of Ray Stringer (ex-Superbike racer) Michael raced a Kawasaki ZX10 to finish 7th in the Championship, with a well earned podium (3rd) finish at the second Oulton Park round. The Team was almost completely self funded during 2005. Michael was offered a National Superstock Championship ride on Yamaha R1s with NY Racing in 2006. This team ran out of finance after the 2nd round at Donington Park. As MP Racing owned the 06 R1 Michael was able to race on, and ran out of the Krystal Racing awning, although MP Racing were still heavily involved. Unfortunately Michael was injured at Snetterton, but returned at Cadwell Park with a Suzuki GSX-R K5, but was unable to race until the last round at Brands Hatch where he retired from the race. For 2007 Michael and MP Racing, in association with WLRacing, will be running a new 1098 Ducati in the National Superstock Championship. TEAM PERSONNEL Carrado Pensavalle owns MP Motorcycles and is an astute businessman. He runs the Team with the same professionalism as he runs his business. Michael Pensavalle is the racer, but he is also the Sales Manager of MP Motorcycles during the week, and works most weekends when he is not racing. He also manages to fit a training schedule into his busy working life. He is always friendly and willing to entertain sponsors and guests. Rob Crombie joined the Team at the start of 2005 as Technician, under the expert guidance of Ray Stringer. He learned a lot during that season, although he has been a HGV mechanic for 10 years. He also started working for MP Motorcycles in 2005. In 2006 he was elevated to Senior Technician, working on Michael's bikes, with help from Michael Jackson (Michael's cousin) until he started racing himself in Superstock Cup in August. Joan Williams joined the Team at Thruxton in 2005 working as photographer and the Team's PR / Press Officer, raising the profile and Media coverage for the team. She previously worked for D&B Racing and Shane Norval Racing.
